Role Description:

As a Category Buyer for Electronics, you will be responsible for commodity group purchasing within a specific product group. This includes developing supplier strategies and managing a portfolio with a yearly spend in the double-digit million Euros range.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and host selected suppliers within the product group, including price negotiations and target agreements.
• Negotiate and design contracts in coordination with the Regional Category Manager.
• Conduct yearly price negotiations of serial products based on professional and corporate guidelines.
• Create Total Cost Comparisons, including supplier recommendations.
• Conduct benchmark surveys on the purchasing volume to identify savings potential and supplier strategy.
• Comply with and implement purchasing processes & tools.
• Provide support for unforeseen events and take the lead on defined actions for the situation.
• Perform audits at selected suppliers.
• Manage and safeguard vendor data.
• Manage financial Risk Analysis at the supplier base, targeting avoidance of insolvencies or bankruptcies, with an early warning system.
• Provide reports of current projects and supplier improvements, with monthly reviews.

Qualifications:

• Strong English knowledge skills (oral and written), German is an advantage. Hungarian is a must.
• Technical or commercial university degree is an advantage.
• Several years of work experience in purchasing, preferably in the automotive or industrial sector and/or with electronics experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong intercultural and teamwork competence.
